On Horseback to Birmenstorf
Riding together, sharing joy with Icelandic horses: The World Championships not only push top riders to their limits but also let recreational riders shine brightly.
The idea for this traditional relay ride was born in the early 1980s when a group of riders traveled on their Icelandic horses from the previous to the new World Championship’s venue. The baton they carry holds a heartfelt greeting from the former host to the next.
In June 2025, the exhilarating relay ride will kick off in Oirschot, Netherlands. Riders and their horses will participate in one or more thrilling stages.
Symposium
An informative and varied social programme around the WC is in preparation. The Symposium is the ideal place to meet and exchange ideas. This much can already be revealed:
Enjoy entertaining live talks by experts on current equine topics. You will be captivated by specialist presentations that will give you new insights into the world of horses. From training tips to feeding and horse welfare, there is something for everyone.
Discuss burning issues with our speakers and network with other horse enthusiasts. Join us as we share fascinating stories and exciting research results.
